FAQs for XERO

The questions people often ask us:

How many files can be populated at once?

We suggest populating in batches of up to 20 or so. You can do more but to just in case you select the wrong dataset doing smaller batches to start with reduce user error. You can also just do one file at a time. 

Can I have my own dataset? 

Yes you can we can create it for you to use for a fee based on how many transactions are involved. 

Can I populate the files to provide to students?

Yes you can.

Can I populate several Xero files at once?

Yes you can. You sign on with Xero which enable access to files under your log in - select the blank files you want to populate which will connect them to the app temporarily. 

What kind of files can be populated?

The app is designed to be used on blank files in order to populate for students to then start a case study. 

Where do we get the files to be populated?

We can supply you with batches of blank Xero files that will last for up to six months. 

Can a file be reused if a student makes a mess or if I want to change the dataset?

No, a file cannot be reused. You should start with a new file and populate it.

Can I create my own datasets to use for population?

Yes, you can using YAML to enter the code that creates the Dataset.
